1. The Service & accounts
Glint lets you describe a business and uses AI to generate, edit, host and publish a website for you, and optionally to buy a custom domain. You must provide accurate account information, keep your login secure, and are responsible for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
2. Plans, billing & auto-renewal
Usage of the AI editor is metered in credits. The Free plan includes one site, a monthly credit allowance, and preview only (no publishing). The Pro plan costs US$19 per month and includes a larger monthly credit allowance, publishing and hosting for up to five sites, and custom domains. Current allowances, per-action credit prices, and daily limits are shown on the Billing page and may be adjusted with notice; unused monthly credits reset each month, while purchased top-up credits do not expire. Prices are in US dollars and exclusive of any applicable taxes.
Auto-renewal. Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. By subscribing you authorise us, through our payment processor, to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and stops future charges. We will give advance notice of any price change.
Refunds. All fees are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law. Domain purchases are non-refundable once the domain is registered; if a domain you paid for fails to register, we automatically refund that domain.
What happens if Pro lapses. If your Pro subscription ends, your published site stays online for a grace period of 14 days. After the grace period, we may take the published site offline. Your site’s data and content remain in your account, and you can bring the site back online by resubscribing.
3. Your content & ownership of AI output
You own the business information, prompts and images you provide (“Your Content”). As between you and us, you own the website output generated for you. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and transform Your Content and the generated output solely to operate, host and provide the Service to you (for example, storing images and creating optimised or thumbnail versions).
We retain all rights in the Service itself, including our templates, design system, software and brand. AI-generated material may not be eligible for copyright protection, and we make no warranty that generated content is original or non-infringing - you are responsible for reviewing it before you publish.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to provide Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or violate any law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to create, publish or distribute content that:
- is illegal, infringing, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually exploitative;
- contains malware, phishing, spam, or attempts to deceive or defraud;
- includes fake testimonials, fabricated reviews, false pricing, or deceptive endorsements, or otherwise makes claims you can’t substantiate;
- impersonates others or misrepresents your affiliation;
- attempts to bypass usage limits, security, or our free-tier restrictions.
You are solely responsible for the legality and accuracy of your published sites. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or the law.
5. Copyright complaints & takedown
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to copyright complaints about content hosted on Glint. If you believe content on a Glint-hosted site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with a notice that includes: identification of the copyrighted work; the URL of the allegedly infringing material; your name, address, phone number and email; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them; and your physical or electronic signature (the elements described in 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)).
We will respond expeditiously to valid notices, give the affected user an opportunity to respond where appropriate, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
6. Domain registrations
If you buy a domain through Glint, the domain is registered through our accredited registrar partner (Name.com, Inc.). Glint is a reseller, not an ICANN-accredited registrar. Domain registration is also governed by the registrar’s registration agreement and all applicable ICANN policies (including the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy and transfer rules), which you agree to when you purchase.
- You are the registrant. Domains you buy are registered in your name - the owner details you provide at checkout are submitted to the registrar as the domain's legal registrant contact, and WHOIS privacy is applied at no charge where the domain ending supports it (a small number of endings do not permit it). The registrar may email you to verify these details; failing to complete verification can lead to suspension of the domain under ICANN rules.
- Domains are registered for the term you choose at purchase (one to ten years).
- Auto-renewal. Unless you turn auto-renew off for a domain (Dashboard → Domains), it renews automatically for successive one-year terms, and your payment method on file is charged the then-current renewal price shortly before each term ends. If the renewal charge fails or auto-renew is off, the registration expires at the end of its term and the domain may become unavailable or be released for registration by others.
- You must provide accurate registrant information and keep it up to date.
- Domains may be subject to a transfer lock for a period set by ICANN after registration.
- Transferring out. After the initial 60-day lock, you can move a domain to any other registrar, free of charge, from Dashboard → Domains: we email you a confirmation link, then the domain's transfer authorization code. Transfers typically complete within about five days at the new registrar, your remaining registration term carries over, and Glint stops charging renewals for the domain once the transfer completes. Your site continues to be served for 30 days after a transfer so DNS changes aren't rushed.
- Domain fees (including the ICANN fee) are non-refundable once the domain is registered.
7. Third-party content & embeds
Stock images provided through the Service may be subject to the licence of their source (for example, the Unsplash License); you may not redistribute or resell them as stand-alone files. If you add third-party embeds or integrations to your site, those are governed by the third party’s own terms, and you are responsible for any consent or disclosure their use requires on your published site.
8. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or remove content if you violate these Terms or the law, if required by legal process or a valid takedown, or for non-payment. We may also discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee any specific uptime or results.
AI output. Content is generated by automated systems and may contain errors or inaccuracies. It is not professional (legal, financial, medical or other) advice. You must review all generated content before relying on or publishing it.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLINT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including any non-waivable rights you may have as a consumer.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Glint against claims, losses and costs arising from Your Content, your published sites, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the law.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, unless applicable consumer law gives you other rights.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date; material changes will be communicated to you. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
